PACOS TRUST (PACOS) is a community based voluntary organisation registered under the Trustees Ordinance Chapter 148, Sabah, Malaysia to help raise the quality of life of indigenous communities. Although PACOS has only been registered with the ordinance in 1997, it has been actively involved with communities since 1987 as a different legal entity. A central management committee which comprises of each program coordinators and several individuals carries out the management of PACOS. Financial contributions from members, individuals and international funding agencies, sustain most of PACOS' activities.

Aims
PACOS sees itself as on organisation that strives to empower indigenous communities through:
(i)
systematic building and strengthening of community organisations;
(ii)
strengthening of indigenous knowledge systems on natural resource management; and
(iii)
strengthening of positive indigenous values as well as improving early child care and development.
PACOS also sees the need to support networks of indigenous organisations that are struggling against the erosion of their resources and indigenous systems. This is done through the establishment of formal and informal networks between community organisations at different levels.
Strategy
Strategy adopted by PACOS to achieve its aim is through "human resource and building of people's organisation to raise indigenous people's capacity to manage and act upon issues that confront indigenous people".
